Amyeric Laporte mocks Arsenal minutes after title collapse confirmed
As Manchester City edges closer to winning the Premier League, defender Aymeric Laporte couldn’t help but make fun of Arsenal’s failure to maintain their lead in the title race.
Despite leading for more than 200 days, which is a record in Premier League history, Arsenal’s poor performance since April, winning only two out of seven games, led to their downfall.
Brighton’s 3-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday has been seen as evidence of Arsenal “bottling” their campaign.
Brighton secured a well-deserved win over their opponents with goals in the second half from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav, and Pervis Estupinan. This result means that Manchester City only needs one more win from their remaining three games to successfully defend their title.
City could potentially become champions even before they play their next match if Arsenal loses to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
However, if not, a win against Chelsea would be enough to secure their fifth title in six seasons. After Arsenal’s defeat, Laporte quickly took to Twitter to express his team’s confidence in winning the title soon.

Next Saturday, Arsenal will play against Forest while City will host Chelsea on the following day.
