Arsenal add three players to their Europa League squad
Arsenal have added three academy players to their Europa League squad ahead of the knockout stages, as Mikel Arteta’s side prepare to travel to Lisbon.
Following the closure of the January transfer window, Arsenal made changes to their Europa League squad by including their new first-team signings and leaving out young players George Lewis and Lino Sousa due to insufficient available slots.
However, the B-list, which consists of players under 21 years of age and who have been with the club for at least two years, can be modified until midnight on the day before the match. Arsenal has added three players to this list in their most recent update.
Reuell Walters and Joel Ideho have been included in the B-list as they have recently become eligible.
Ideho joined Arsenal in October 2020, and Walters joined in November 2020, so they were not eligible for the B-list at the start of the group stage, but they are now qualified.
Additionally, Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand, who returned from a loan with Hull City, has also been added to the B-list, but he is currently unavailable due to injury.

Bukayo Saka has been added to the B-list as there is no disadvantage in doing so, and Arsenal can choose players from either list for their matchday squad. By adding Saka to the B-list, Arsenal has freed up a spot on the main squad list because he is still young enough to be eligible for the B-list.
