Arsenal agree to make Bukayo Saka a top earner in major contract breakthrough
Arsenal is nearing completion of negotiations with their star winger, Bukayo Saka, for a new contract.
Currently, Saka’s contract is set to expire after the next season, and Arsenal has been in discussions with him for several months.
The details of the new contract are almost finalized, and this would be a significant advantage for Arsenal as Saka, who is only 21 years old, has fans all across Europe.
Although Manchester City has previously expressed interest in the England winger, Arsenal has always remained optimistic about retaining their academy-grown player.
It is anticipated that Saka will be one of Arsenal’s highest-paid players, with a salary of around £200,000 per week. In August, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his optimism about the ongoing negotiations and stated that he was positive about reaching an agreement.
When questioned that same month if he held the same point of view, Saka said: “Yes, I share his confidence.”
If Saka agrees to a new contract, it would be the second time in recent weeks that Arsenal successfully secured their young talents, following Gabriel Martinelli’s signing of a new contract earlier this month.
Additionally, the club is keen on extending William Saliba’s contract, which is set to expire at the end of the upcoming season.
