According to a report, Manchester United is not alone in their pursuit of Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra; Arsenal has also entered the race.

Additionally, 90min has added Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United to the list of interested clubs.

It’s worth noting that there are already established connections between Guerra and Newcastle United.

Guerra has attracted attention from Manchester United recently due to his consistent starting role at Valencia, even at the young age of 20. Reports suggest that Man Utd scouts have been closely watching his development at Mestalla.

As per 90min’s information, Javi Guerra has garnered the interest of four other Premier League teams. Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, and West Ham have all been identified as clubs closely monitoring his development.

According to the report, representatives from Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, and West Ham attended Javi Guerra’s recent game for Spain’s under-21 team against Scotland, while Manchester United did not send scouts to the match.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Barcelona has a historical interest in Valencia’s number 8, who is bound by a €100 million (£87.3 million) release clause in his contract that remains valid until 2027.

Although Arsenal made a significant midfield signing in the summer by breaking their transfer record to acquire Declan Rice from West Ham, they also parted ways with Granit Xhaka, who joined Bayer Leverkusen during the same transfer window. Furthermore, at the end of the current season, both Jorginho and Mohamed Elneny will reach the conclusion of their contracts.

At Tottenham, there’s a growing need for additional midfield depth, especially if Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are called up for the Africa Cup of Nations during the winter, and there are ongoing rumors linking Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg with a move to another club.

West Ham, on the other hand, faced the departure of Declan Rice during the summer transfer window but managed to reinforce their midfield by acquiring Edson Alvarez from Ajax and James Ward-Prowse from Southampton.

Meanwhile, Newcastle made a substantial investment in Sandro Tonali, a former AC Milan star. However, Tonali is facing the possibility of a lengthy suspension due to gambling-related offenses that occurred while he was in Italy.

Valencia aiming to keep Guerra

Valencia does not seem to be in a hurry to let go of Javi Guerra at a reduced price. Guerra has been a part of the club since 2019 and joined their senior team earlier this year.

With only 20 appearances under his belt in the first team, Valencia is keen on harnessing his talent for an extended period. This decision is likely influenced by his impressive record, having already scored four goals for the club in his young career, including three goals from nine appearances in the current season.

Valencia’s sporting director, Miguel Angel Corona, recently shared with the Daily Mail: “We are fully aware that we have a player with enormous potential for the future and the ability to perform at a good level now.

“That is why the club have decisively moved him up to the first team in recent months. It is not in our plans to sell him to any club.”

While the interest in Javi Guerra is evident, the report does not provide any information regarding the specific monetary offers or figures that any of the clubs interested in him might be willing to offer.

In such negotiations, financial terms and transfer fees are typically crucial factors, but the report does not disclose these details.
