Arsenal fans beg former star to ‘come home’ after he revealed he was “rooting” for them to win the league this term
ARSENAL supporters are pleading for Serge Gnabry to return to the club, as the Bayern Munich superstar expressed his support for the team to win the league this season.
The 27-year-old German winger played a crucial role in securing Bayern Munich’s 11th consecutive Bundesliga title, following Borussia Dortmund’s collapse on the final day.

Nevertheless, there are reports suggesting that Gnabry is contemplating his future at Bayern Munich, as the club plans to sell several players to rejuvenate their squad.
Speculation about a potential return to the Premier League has emerged, with Arsenal, his former club, being linked as a possible destination.
Additionally, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United have shown interest in the former West Brom loanee. Gnabry was recently seen at the Spanish Grand Prix, where he agreed to an interview with Sky Sports.
When asked if he had been following Arsenal’s progress this season, as they narrowly missed out on the title to Manchester City, the winger responded: “Of course I did.
“There’s a saying, ‘Once a Gunner, always a Gunner’, so of course I was rooting for them and hoping.
“I think they had a very good season.”
Following the widespread circulation of the video clip, a large number of Arsenal fans, referred to as “Gooners,” flocked to Twitter in an attempt to persuade Gnabry to make a comeback to the Emirates Stadium.
One fan wrote: “Come home Serge.”
“Bring him back,” demanded another.
While a fellow fan told Arsenal’s sporting director: “Get it done Edu.”
At the age of 16, Serge Gnabry joined Arsenal under the management of Arsene Wenger in a significant deal worth approximately £100,000.
The signing was regarded as a notable coup, with numerous pundits hailing Gnabry as the future of German football.
Even Mesut Ozil, who played alongside him, would later acknowledge Gnabry as the best player he had ever played with. This recognition came after Gnabry’s impressive performance at the age of 18 in a Champions League match against Bayern Munich.
Unfortunately, Serge Gnabry’s promising trajectory was interrupted by a significant knee injury, which impeded his progress after being nominated for the 2013 Golden Boy Award.
Upon returning to full fitness, Gnabry struggled to regain a place in the Arsenal team and was subsequently sent on a loan spell to West Brom, which turned out to be unsuccessful. He made only three appearances for West Brom, and manager Tony Pulis expressed doubts about his suitability for the Premier League.
As a result, Arsene Wenger made the decision to sell Gnabry to Werder Bremen in 2017 for a fee of £5 million.
However, Gnabry showcased his talents in the Bundesliga and subsequently earned a move to Bayern Munich. Since joining Bayern, he has been a prolific force, consistently causing havoc for defenses throughout Europe.
