Arsenal fans will love what Jamie Carragher did to Gary Neville after Bournemouth comeback
Jamie Carragher made a playful remark towards his colleague Gary Neville after Arsenal achieved a remarkable 3-2 win against Bournemouth.
Even though the Gunners were trailing 2-0 with only 30 minutes remaining, they demonstrated resilience to bounce back and claim a crucial victory in the Premier League title race, with Thomas Partey, Ben White, and Reiss Nelson scoring.
Following the game, Carragher used Twitter to tease Neville, who had previously made comments about Arsenal.
On Twitter, the former Liverpool player shared a video of Neville’s past criticism of Arsenal’s leadership and added the caption “Leadership on show (eyes emoji) #ARSBOU”. Neville has been expressing doubt towards Arsenal this season, including his prediction that Manchester United and Manchester City would finish ahead of them, which he reiterated just earlier this week.
Speaking on the Overlap, the former England right-back : “That’s my inkling earlier in the season, what normally happens is one team gets so close they realise they can’t win it and then they just go like that in the last two or three games. You lose two games and then all of a sudden someone else goes above you. I thought City would win the league and United would finish second two or three months ago.
“To be fair, I’m not going to change my mind on it. I still think City are going to win the league even though Arsenal, the closer it gets… but 14 games is still a long way to go. I still think United will finish second.”
