Arsenal finally sets an asking price for sought after defender
Despite Arsenal’s claims that Jakub Kiwior is not available for transfer, there has been significant interest in the Polish defender.
Since joining Arsenal earlier this year, he has struggled to secure a regular spot in the squad, currently playing second fiddle to the injured Jurrien Timber at the Emirates.
Several Serie A clubs, including AC Milan and Napoli, reportedly want to bring him back to Italy, taking advantage of his limited playing time at Arsenal.
Despite Arsenal’s insistence that Kiwior is not up for sale, the continuous interest from potential suitors has led the club to establish a minimum asking price for his transfer.
As per a report on Calciomercato, Arsenal has set Kiwior’s value at a minimum of 25 million euros, reflecting the amount they paid to acquire him.
This indicates that while the club may be hesitant to let go of the player, they are willing to entertain offers that meet their specified valuation.
While Kiwior may not feature in a significant number of games for us, he holds a crucial role as one of our essential squad players.
Having him as a backup option becomes vital on days when our top players are unavailable. Additionally, he provides a valuable alternative when we need to rest key players during certain games.
Considering his importance to the squad, it might be prudent to retain Kiwior for now. However, the prospect of selling him in the summer could be explored, especially if we secure a suitable replacement to fill his role.
This approach ensures that we maintain squad depth and have a seamless transition between players, addressing both our immediate needs and future planning.
