Arsenal have now agreed personal terms with Mikel Arteta’s number one transfer target
Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice have reached an agreement on personal terms, bringing Arsenal closer to finalizing a deal for the West Ham captain.
Rice is Arsenal’s primary target for the midfield position this summer, and manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly determined to see the transfer through.
As per Football Transfers, Arsenal has successfully negotiated personal terms with Rice; however, they still need to work out the transfer fee with West Ham.
Arsenal agree personal terms with Declan Rice
According to the latest report from Football Transfers, the contractual terms for Declan Rice’s potential move to Arsenal have been settled. It has been suggested that Rice has consistently expressed his preference for joining Arsenal since January. However, before the transfer can be completed, Arsenal must engage in negotiations with West Ham to agree on the transfer fee.
West Ham is reportedly seeking a fee of approximately £100m for Rice, a valuation that Arsenal has been aware of for some time. In response, Arsenal is reportedly preparing an initial offer of around £90m.
In the meantime, Rice is expected to lead West Ham in the UEFA Conference League final before embarking on a new chapter in his career.
In addition to their pursuit of Declan Rice, Arsenal is reportedly keeping tabs on several other midfielders, one of whom is Xavi Simons from PSV. The Gunners have shown an interest in the talented PSV star as they continue to explore their options in the midfield position.
Great report for Gunners fans
While there have been conflicting reports regarding Declan Rice’s potential transfer to Arsenal, this latest development appears promising for the Gunners. Rice’s interest in joining Arsenal suggests that he sees Mikel Arteta’s project as an enticing opportunity.
If the report is accurate and Arsenal can successfully negotiate the required transfer fee, it would be an ideal start to the transfer window for the club, as they would secure Arteta’s primary target.
