Arsenal keen to offer Tomiyasu in swap bid for Gleison Bremer
According to Calciomercatoweb, Arsenal is considering signing Gleison Bremer and offering Takehiro Tomiyasu to Juventus as part of the deal. Tomiyasu has had a challenging season, losing his position to Ben White and not performing as well as he did in his first campaign at Arsenal.
Calciomercatoweb has reported that Arsenal is interested in acquiring Bremer, and Juventus may be willing to sell one of their important players to generate funds for the upcoming season.
The report indicates that Juventus values Bremer at a minimum of £44.5 million, but Arsenal may attempt to lower the fee by including Tomiyasu in the negotiations. While Juventus previously wouldn’t have accepted an offer of £26.7 million and Tomiyasu for Bremer, that stance may have changed.
Although it would be unexpected for Arsenal to trade Tomiyasu for Bremer, the 25-year-old Brazilian defender is an excellent player, and the Gunners could be seeking additional defensive reinforcements in anticipation of their expected return to the Champions League.
Although Bremer has struggled to perform well with Juventus, he had an outstanding track record with Torino before joining them. Additionally, Arsenal already has a significant number of Brazilian players on their squad.
Despite this, it seems unlikely that Arsenal would let go of Tomiyasu. He is versatile and capable of playing multiple positions on the backline. He also appears to be a team player who is content with seeing his teammates succeed even when he isn’t playing.
While Arsenal may make an effort to sign Bremer, it is difficult to envision Tomiyasu, a £20 million player, being included in a swap deal.
