Arsenal player Ben White answers brilliantly to why he doesn’t watch Man City
Ben White has affirmed that he will not abandon a lifelong routine while Arsenal competes for the Premier League title.
The defender scored a goal against his former team as Arsenal defeated Leeds 4-1 on Saturday, shortly after Manchester City defeated Liverpool by the same margin.
BBC Sport questioned White after the match if he had watched the City game, given its proximity to Arsenal’s match.
But he simply replied: “I don’t watch football.”
The fact that the 25-year-old is solely focused on his own career and not on other games has made him more of a hero among Arsenal supporters.
Additionally, he believes that this mindset will aid him in his pursuit of the title as he approaches the most challenging phase of his career so far.
White continued: “There’s a lot of noise going on outside, and everyone is just keeping it very quiet and just getting on with what we are doing.
“I don’t really know what’s right or wrong, I have never been in this position before. So we are just keeping quiet, heads down and working hard.”
