Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko shows true colours with Manchester City title message
Arsenal maintained their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table on Sunday by comfortably beating Fulham 3-0. All three goals were scored in the first half by Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard, and Fulham didn’t cause much trouble for the Gunners.
On Saturday, Manchester City won 1-0 against Crystal Palace and temporarily reduced the gap to only two points. While Pep Guardiola’s team is not giving up on the title race with Arsenal, time is running out as there are only a limited number of games remaining.
Some people argue that Manchester City have unintentionally given Arsenal an advantage by letting Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko join them. Jesus left City after the arrival of Erling Haaland, who was bought for £45 million, while left-back Zinchenko was sold for only £32 million.
Both players have played important roles in Arsenal’s impressive season so far. After the win at Craven Cottage, Zinchenko celebrated with his Arsenal teammates and the away fans.
The TV cameras were ready to capture Oleksandr Zinchenko singing along with the Arsenal fans who were enthusiastically chanting “We’ve got super Mik Arteta”. Gabriel Jesus also had some heartwarming moments, as he returned to action after sustaining a medial ligament injury during the World Cup.
Gabriel Jesus expressed his gratitude towards the Arsenal fans who were present at the game, after he came on as a substitute in the 77th minute. His return to the team is well-timed, as Arsenal enters the final stretch of the season with 11 games left to play.
