Arsenal Women squad: The 2023 squad shaping up quite well
The January transfer window began on January 1 and will end on January 31. So far, Jordan Nobbs has left our Gunners, freeing up a midfield position prior to the news that the Dutch international Victoria Pelova has signed for Arsenal, and only today has another signing been announced.
The January 1st transfer window opens.
Midfielder Jordan Nobbs left Arsenal for Aston Villa on January 5th.
Victoria Pelova, a Dutch international midfielder, joins Arsenal on January 6 from Ajax.
Kathrine Kuhl, a Danish international midfielder, joins Arsenal from FC Nordsjaelland on January 7.
How Arsenal’s midfield has changed as of today:
Assuming there is no additional news over the weekend (? What will the upcoming week hold for Arsenal’s comings and goings?
Gooners are divided on whether or not Arsenal will announce the signing of Sabrina D’Angelo, a Canadian international goalkeeper. However, this is expected.
The real focus must be on Eidevall’s recruitment skills when it comes to forwards with a proven track record of goal-scoring and assisting, especially at the international level given the loss of world-class players Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema to ACL injuries.
How will Arsenal’s offensive front line look over the next few weeks?
After multiple indications that Arsenal are interested in these players, all of the players listed above are considered “potential” additions to Arsenal’s front-line attack. At least a couple of these players are capable of playing in the midfield if the position is open.
I believe that the upcoming week will be a very exciting one for us Gooners as Arsenal’s acquisitions are confirmed and we begin to see a clearer picture of the future emerging. Specifically, I am referring to the fact that we will begin to see the future more clearly. COYG!
