Arsenal Women’s prodigy Teyah Goldie may soon return for Gunners
Teyah Goldie, a young player for Arsenal, is a very exciting young talent indeed.
Teyah was only six years old when she first joined the Arsenal youth academy in 2011. She worked her way up through the ranks of Arsenal’s Centre of Excellence before making her first-team debut off the bench in Arsenal’s 10-0 FA Cup win over Gillingham on April 18, 2021. Gillingham was defeated by the score of 10-0.
The defender who was born in London spent the previous season on loan with Watford, where she excelled in central midfield thanks to her cool composure on the ball as well as her impressive passing range.
Teyah’s first professional contract was with Arsenal, and it was signed on the day she turned 18 years old, in June of 2022.
In March 2022, Arsenal announced that Teyah Goldie had ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Watford against Sheffield United. This is the same injury that her teammates Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema have suffered from in the past.
After undergoing surgery and a prolonged period of intensive rehabilitation, Teyah has now been back with the first team for a couple of months and is participating in training sessions with them. According to the most recent tweet published by Arsenal, which can be found up above, it would appear that Teyah is making steady progress in his recovery and may soon be able to play for our Gunners.
Teyah Doreen Bliss Goldie, who was born in 2004, is currently the player with the youngest age on Arsenal’s first-team squad (and by a good distance too). In June 2022, on the occasion of Teyah’s 18th birthday, she signed her first professional contract.
Another extremely promising young player to emerge from Arsenal’s Center of Excellence, the London-born defender spent the previous campaign on loan at Watford, where she excelled in central midfield thanks to her cool demeanor around the ball and her excellent passing range.
Teyah became a member of the Arsenal youth academy when she was just six years old, in 2011. She worked her way up through the ranks of the club’s youth program before making her debut with the first team as a substitute in our 10-0 FA Cup win over Gillingham on April 18, 2021.
She has played for Arsenal’s first team six times so far, including coming on as a substitute during our match against Okzhetpes in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in August of 2021. In total, she has made six appearances for Arsenal.
Teyah signed a dual-registration agreement to play for Watford of the Championship in January 2022. She was honored as the club’s Player of the Month for February before suffering a knee injury that ended her season early.
