Pablo Mari sustained an injury while playing for AC Monza, soon after allegedly finalizing his transfer to the Italian Serie A club.

AC Monza’s Pablo Mari began his 26th match of the season against Torino over the weekend, but unfortunately, he had to leave the game early due to a hip injury, just six minutes into the match.

According to FootballNews24.it, the centre-back endured a significant bruising of the hip, and it’s predicted that he will require 10 to 15 days to recuperate.

Unless there’s an improvement in his condition, he is expected to miss out on Monza’s upcoming games against Napoli, the Serie A champions, on May 14th, and Sassuolo on May 19th.

Although Pablo Mari is expected to miss AC Monza’s next two matches against Napoli and Sassuolo, there’s still a chance he could play in their remaining games against Lecce on May 28th and Atalanta on June 4th.

The Serie A season stretches into June, so Mari may still have an opportunity to feature for his club before the campaign concludes.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s recent report, Arsenal will be receiving £6m for Pablo Mari as his loan transfer to AC Monza is set to become permanent.

The personal terms have already been agreed upon, and Romano claimed that the deal has been finalized. Monza had an obligation to purchase Mari on loan, dependent on certain conditions being met.

One of those conditions was avoiding relegation, which Monza has now achieved mathematically, securing their position in Serie A for another season.

Additionally, Mari was required to play a specific number of games, and it seems he has met that target as well.
