Declan Rice reveals if he actually thinks Arsenal are just as good as Man City now

Declan Rice has stated whether he believes Arsenal are as good a team as Manchester City.

Many may dismiss the topic of whether the Gunners are on City’s level, given that they won the treble last season while defeating Mikel Arteta’s team for the Premier League title.

Some may claim that some of Arsenal’s best sides under Arsene Wenger are inferior to Pep Guardiola’s best squads at Manchester City.

So far this season, the North London side has been the best in the country, and the league table reflects this.

However, this was the case for the bulk of the last campaign before City stepped in and finished the job, which is why some may deem such assertions premature.

Furthermore, Sunday’s matchup will reveal which of the two squads is truly superior.

However, Declan Rice believes Arsenal are on the same level as Manchester City.

“We are not inferior to them at all. We are Arsenal, they are City. We have got some unbelievable players, they have got some unbelievable players”, he said in an interview with The Telegraph.

Declan Rice is unsurprisingly supporting his team, especially as Arsenal prepares to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

One would expect City’s players to do the same, even if they were against a potentially greater opponent.
