Edu reveals one thing has really ‘impressed’ him about Arsenal, he’s never seen it before
Arsenal’s sporting director and former midfielder, Edu, has been deeply impressed by one particular aspect of Mikel Arteta’s team this season.
Today, Arsenal have the opportunity to secure the Premier League title.
The Gunners are set to face Everton at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon. If they manage to defeat the Toffees and Manchester City fail to win against West Ham United, the title will be claimed by the North London club.
Under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, alongside Edu, Arsenal have assembled a young, ambitious squad that is evidently capable of competing for the sport’s most prestigious honors.
This team of players is on the brink of ushering in a new golden era for the club, with pivotal talents like Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and William Saliba all secured with long-term contracts and entering their prime years.
Arteta has transformed Arsenal, crafting a squad that mirrors his own vision and philosophy.
Edu has recently shared his thoughts on the current squad, highlighting what sets them apart.
According to The Athletic, the Brazilian commented: “The friendship within this group is one of the aspects that has impressed me the most.”
“What we have is people taking care of each other. They really care about everything — not only on the pitch. I have had some private conversations with players when they are not talking about themselves, but about how others are doing, and I love it.
“When I was a player I participated in four squads — Corinthians, Arsenal, Valencia and Brazil — which were not necessarily the best friends but we were the best characters.”
