Gabriel Jesus’ Injury Update Ahead of Man United PL encounter
On Sunday, Arsenal will play their match against their eternal rivals, but they will have to do so without their top offensive threat, Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian forward was selected for Tite’s World Cup squad in November, but Richarlison, Brazil’s primary striker, received more playing time than the Brazilian forward did.
However, as a result of his team’s victories over Serbia and Switzerland, he was given the opportunity to participate in the Mundial when it was just a matter of time before the elimination match against Cameroon. Gabriel Jesus participated in that game and appeared to be in good health throughout, but we later found out that he had actually sustained a knee injury that required surgery.
Eddie Nketiah has done well to step up in the absence of Jesus and lead the line for the Gunners. Losing a player who is so important to how Arsenal plays football was a devastating blow to our chances, but Eddie Nketiah has done well to step up in Jesus’ absence and lead the line for the Gunners. Nketiah has performed admirably in the big picture, despite the fact that he has some rough spots here and there; however, I am hopeful that he will continue to show decent form in front of the net.
Gabriel Jesus has taken to social media to provide an update on the recovery from knee surgery he underwent earlier this year. In the post, he revealed that he is now able to walk without the assistance of crutches. This is a significant step forward for the Brazilian forward, and we will keep our fingers crossed that he will be available for selection around the middle of February or the beginning of March 2023, as was previously anticipated.
Since Eddie Nketiah is the only player filling in for Gabriel Jesus in attack for Arsenal, the club is in desperate need of a replacement, and one can only hope that they will turn to the transfer market to find a solution, whether it be for the short term or the long term.
In spite of this, all we can do is hope that none of our forwards will sustain any injuries during the course of their matches as we strive to win the Premier League for the first time in almost 20 years.
