“Get him sold.” Fans now want William Saliba ‘sold’ after noticing a ‘cringey’ poster in his home gym
Several Arsenal fans online have expressed their disapproval after spotting a poster in William Saliba’s home gym. The 22-year-old has been a key player for the team during their pursuit of the Premier League title under manager Mikel Arteta this season.
However, the team’s form has slightly faltered since Saliba sustained an injury in a match against Sporting CP in the Europa League.
William Saliba has set up a personal gym in his home to prevent future injuries and this move has convinced Arsenal fans that he plans to stay with the team for a longer period.
Pictures of his new gym have emerged online, but some social media users have criticized a particular poster they found “cringey,” leading them to call for the player to be sold. The construction company responsible for setting up the gym shared images of the installation process and the finished product on Instagram.
Some Arsenal supporters have taken notice of the decor inside William Saliba’s home gym, which includes a well-known poster of the Chicago Bulls featuring basketball legends Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman, as well as a poster for the television series Peaky Blinders. However, not all fans were pleased with these choices and voiced their disapproval online.
One Twitter user wrote: “Glad he’s possibly staying but having Peaky Blinders posters on your walls holy cringe.”
A second tweeted: “Love the bloke but Peaky Blinders fetishisation is a sackable offence.”
A third added: “Get him sold.”
A fourth said: “Why has he got a Peaky Blinders poster up?”
A fifth defended Saliba, saying: “Thomas Shelby in the background, I like that!”
With William Saliba out of action for the remainder of the 2022/23 season due to his injury, Jakub Kiwior and Rob Holding have stepped in to fill his place. This absence is a significant setback for Arsenal as they compete with Manchester City for the league championship.
