As per Bild, Arsenal is highly interested in acquiring the services of Julian Brandt in the upcoming summer.
The talented German attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a while now, and Arsenal seems to be ready to take action and bring him to north London.
Although Brandt has been performing impressively for Dortmund for several years, it’s not just us saying it. Even Kai Havertz of Chelsea has praised Brandt’s performances at Dortmund, declaring him as the team’s top player in 2020, ahead of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland.
In 2020, Kai Havertz gave high praise to Brandt in an interview with Kicker.
“I wrote to him (Brandt) on Tuesday after the game. (Jadon) Sancho and (Erling) Haaland aren’t playing too badly either, but at the moment he’s the best player at (Borussia) Dortmund,” Havertz said.
Although Havertz and Brandt are close friends, and Havertz’s praise may have been somewhat exaggerated, it still indicates how exceptional Brandt can be.
Brandt has established himself as one of the top players in Germany in recent years, and there is now a possibility that he may showcase his skills in the Premier League with Arsenal.
However, Tottenham has also been linked with Brandt, which is a concern for Arsenal. But considering the current position of both clubs, Arsenal seems to be in a better position to win the transfer battle for Brandt.
