“I don’t like…” – Saliba shares one problem he has with Arsenal teammate Holding
William Saliba, the Arsenal defender, has discussed a problem he has with Rob Holding in the dressing room.
Arsenal has exceeded expectations this season by competing for the Premier League title, currently sitting at the top of the table with a comfortable eight-point lead and only 10 games remaining.
Various factors have contributed to their success, such as the exceptional performances of key players like Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, as well as the effective leadership of Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal has also strengthened their team with new players, including defenders William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Saliba, who had been on loan at Marseille for the past few seasons, seems to have seamlessly integrated into the Arsenal team, while Zinchenko has added valuable skills and a winning mindset acquired during his time at Manchester City.
Another aspect that distinguishes Arsenal’s performance this season from previous years is the camaraderie among the players, with everyone appearing to have a good relationship and working together towards a common goal. This team spirit is fostered by positive off-field relationships.
Holding’s weakness
Football and music have an inherent connection, and the selection of music played in the dressing room on match day is often a subject of disagreement among footballers.
During a recent interview with StadiumAstro, Saliba was questioned about who assumes the role of DJ in the Arsenal team.
“[Rob] Holding, but sometimes I don’t like his music,” the Frenchman said.
“But he always has the speaker, so we can do nothing. Sometimes he puts some good music on.”
When asked if he would consider playing some French music, Saliba replied that he would take control of the playlist one day. A cohesive team tends to perform better, and at Arsenal, Zinchenko is known for his sense of humor and keeping the team’s mood light.
“Zinchenko is the best for me, the most funny,” Saliba said.
“So funny, he’s crazy. We have a lot of different types of guys in the dressing room, it’s always good.”
