Jamie Carragher now reveals what he did when found out Arsenal scored winner vs Bournemouth

During the Monday Night Football broadcast on March 6th at 22:47, Jamie Carragher mentioned that he was cheering in his car when Reiss Nelson scored the winning goal for Arsenal against Bournemouth.

Carragher also commented that this goal could potentially make Nelson a legendary player for Arsenal.

Despite the difficult win, Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, is still five points ahead at the top of the Premier League standings.

When Manchester City won their game earlier on Saturday, it seemed like the day might turn into a nightmare for Arsenal as Bournemouth took a 2-0 lead at the Emirates stadium.

Despite the difficult situation, the Arsenal team demonstrated their resilience and refused to give up. They produced an incredible comeback, and in the 97th minute, Reiss Nelson scored the winning goal to complete the turnaround.

Reiss Nelson’s winning goal was a magnificent strike, especially as he scored it using his weaker foot. The goal created a huge uproar at the Emirates stadium, which is uncommon for Arsenal’s current home.

However, some people have criticized Arsenal for overreacting, especially given that Bournemouth is currently fighting to avoid relegation and Arsenal fell behind by two goals.

Nevertheless, Jamie Carragher has come to the defense of the Arsenal players, stating that he also lost his composure when he heard about Nelson’s goal.

“This is sensational. I was in the car, and I was celebrating,” he told Monday Night Football

“You look at those celebrations, is that a good thing? Is that a bad thing? There’s so long to go. And you’ll get the fun police out there saying: ‘oh, they shouldn’t be celebrating, they shouldn’t do that’. Go for it, embrace it.

“That’ll be one of those moments, if Arsenal go on and win the league, that moment will be remembered forever. And he will be an Arsenal legend for that moment.”

It is surprising that Arsenal faced criticism for celebrating their winning goal, as the significance of the moment goes beyond the quality of the opposing team.

If Arsenal goes on to win the title, Nelson’s goal could be remembered for years to come and even talked about for generations.

While it may be a common saying, it is true that champions are distinguished by their ability to find ways to win, and Arsenal has shown this trait this season. Therefore, it is clear that Arsenal is not going away anytime soon.
