‘Lazy and always offside’: Talksport presenter Alan Brazil tears into Arsenal striker
Eddie Nketiah is a highly skilled striker and holds a significant role in Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s squad. However, talkSPORT host Alan Brazil appears to have a different opinion about the Arsenal player.
Former Tottenham Hotspur forward and talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil has expressed his view that Eddie Nketiah, the 24-year-old Arsenal striker, lacks work rate and tends to be frequently caught in an offside position.
Nketiah may have the opportunity to make his first appearance for the English national team when they face Australia on Friday.
Alan Brazil on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah
Brazil said about Nketiah on talkSPORT : “I want Eddie to do really well.
“I think he is a bit lazy.
“Sorry, he is lazy. He is always offside, he is always offside.
“He doesn’t look across the line.”
Eddie Nketiah is not lazy
I believe Eddie Nketiah, the Arsenal striker, is far from lazy. The 24-year-old puts in a tremendous effort for the team.
Nketiah isn’t the type of striker known for his high work rate and running like Gabriel Jesus. He doesn’t contribute much when it comes to cutting in from wider positions.
However, he is a true “striker” in the sense that his strengths lie in and around the opponent’s penalty area.
Being most effective in the penalty area doesn’t equate to laziness; it’s simply his playing style.
Nketiah has amassed 97 Premier League appearances in his career, during which he has scored 16 goals and provided three assists while operating as an Arsenal striker.
