Martin Odegaard reveals what Nottingham Forest did which was ‘annoying’

Arsenal standout Martin Odegaard discussed what Nottingham Forest did during their Teusday match that slightly bothered him.

Speaking to TNT Sports following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Forest, Odegaard, the team captain, revealed the aspect of Forest’s play that got under his skin.

It seems that the Arsenal midfielder didn’t consider the Gunners’ match last night to be a straightforward affair.

Nottingham Forest remained resilient until the 65th minute, and it was only due to another goalkeeping mistake from Matt Turner that the deadlock was finally broken.

Bukayo Saka added a second goal in the 72nd minute, and Taiwo Awoniyi’s late goal served as little more than a consolation.

Odegaard elaborated after the game that Awoniyi’s late goal did bother him a bit and it slightly dampened the mood of the evening.

He told TNT Sports: “It’s a bit annoying they scored at the end and from how the game was I think it should have been a bit more than 2-1.

“But we know it’s a competitive team, we know they fight until the end and they can create things in every moment. We have to learn a little bit but the performance was really good.”
