‘My God!’ – Jurgen Klopp issues honest Arsenal verdict amid Premier League title race
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has given his honest opinion on the battle for the Premier League title between Arsenal and Manchester City this season.
Arsenal is currently leading the table with a five-point advantage over the reigning champions, after their victory over Everton on Wednesday night.
In recent years, Liverpool has been City’s main rival, winning the Premier League in 2019, ahead of Pep Guardiola’s team.
However, Liverpool has now been overtaken by Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United in the league, and they are currently fighting to secure a place in the top four by the end of the season.
As the Premier League title race intensifies, Mikel Arteta has guided Arsenal to the top of the table.
In the upcoming months of March and April, Arsenal faces crucial matches to maintain their position, starting with a game against relegation-threatened Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City faces a tough test against Newcastle.
Liverpool is striving to secure a top-four finish after a disappointing season by their standards. They are currently in sixth place, well below their expectations given their recent success.
Klopp has shared his candid opinion on the title race between Arsenal and City, stating that he has no interest in other teams competing at the top of the table.
Speaking ahead of the Reds’ clash against United this weekend, Klopp said: “Arsenal, my God. They are flying and having results and playing really good football.
“I respect that a lot. Man City is Man City, playing good football and are there as well.”
In the upcoming month, Arsenal faces the challenge of returning to Europa League action while Mikel Arteta welcomes back Gabriel Jesus to boost the squad.
Despite Manchester City having the strongest squad in England due to their exceptional depth of quality players, Arsenal will aim to overcome any obstacles and win the Premier League title, which they have not achieved in almost two decades.
