Unfortunately for both teams, Gundogan turned down their proposals and has supposedly made a firm decision to move to Spain.
It appears that Arsenal’s strategy for the upcoming transfer window involves signing at least two new midfielders. With an existing shortage of options in the midfield, the departure of Granit Xhaka, who is expected to join Bayer Leverkusen soon, would further deplete their resources in that area.
