Piers Morgan says ‘Kai Havertz is getting worse’ as he lays boot into Gunners flop

Piers Morgan, an Arsenal supporter, believes that Kai Havertz is regressing rather than improving.

Despite Arsenal’s 3-1 home victory against Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, Havertz had a lackluster performance, prompting his substitution after 59 minutes in favor of Fabio Vieira.

Morgan, not showing any sympathy for the former Chelsea player, remarked on Havertz’s ongoing struggles, asserting that he is not progressing as expected.

Morgan took to Twitter to vent his frustrations over the forward. He wrote, “Havertz is getting worse.” It is not the first time Morgan has ranted about Havertz and, if current form is anything to go by, it will not be the last.

He transferred to the club from West London in a significant £65 million deal during the summer transfer window.

However, the Gunners have seen limited returns on their investment, with Havertz contributing only one assist and one goal.

The solitary goal came from a penalty that his teammates allowed him to take in a 4-0 away win against Bournemouth.

Nevertheless, Arteta has consistently chosen to include him in the starting XI for all but three of his 12 Premier League appearances.

The former Manchester City assistant manager has reiterated that, in contrast to the views expressed by individuals like Morgan, he has been content with Havertz’s performances.

“I don’t know. I can tell you that I’m really pleased with the way he’s performing,” Arteta said in a recent press conference.

“Obviously, looking at the numbers, just specifically the numbers of what he’s producing in front of goal, those have to be improved and we have to improve them.

“But, in many other areas of the pitch, what he gives to the team at the moment is really important.”
