Report: Arsenal have just made their ‘first official offer’ to sign ‘amazing’ title-winning defender
According to reports, Arsenal have made their initial offer to acquire the services of Sacha Boey, the right-back from Galatasaray, during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Gunners are planning to bolster various positions in their team during this period. While their main focus is on strengthening the central midfield, where they might bring in two players, they also require a new full-back.
It has been suggested that Boey is one of their targets, and as per Hurriyet’s report, Arsenal have now officially submitted a bid to secure the 22-year-old French defender.

At present, the primary focus of every Arsenal fan is on Declan Rice. The English player is the Gunners’ main target for the summer transfer window. Following West Ham United’s victory in the UEFA Conference League, the chairman of the club, David Sullivan, stated that they are willing to let Rice leave.
Acquiring Rice has become Arsenal’s top priority. However, if the report from Turkey is accurate, it appears that Edu, Arsenal’s technical director, is also working on another signing in secret—namely, Sacha Boey.
According to the report, Arsenal has made their first official offer of £12 million to secure the signing of Sacha Boey during the upcoming summer transfer window. However, Galatasaray, the recently crowned champions of Turkey, are holding out for a higher fee.
The Turkish club is reportedly seeking at least £17.2 million for Boey, and it is anticipated that Arsenal will raise their initial offer in response.
It is worth noting that Boey will have two years remaining on his Galatasaray contract as of this summer.
Currently, Arsenal has two right-back options in Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who are highly regarded by the club. However, Tomiyasu suffered a severe knee injury in March, and his return to action is not expected until mid-October.
Considering Arsenal cannot afford to start the new season with only one reliable right-back, they are actively searching for a new player to fill that position.
Sacha Boey has been described as “amazing” by Bacary Sagna, adding to his appeal as a potential addition. It will be interesting to observe whether Arsenal will present an improved offer for Boey in the coming days, as he represents a decent option for their right-back requirements.
