Sadio Mane, the talented player from Bayern Munich, reportedly has a strong desire to continue playing in Germany, despite rumors linking him to a transfer to Arsenal and Chelsea this summer. Bayern is willing to consider selling the 31-year-old, only a year after acquiring him from Liverpool, due to a disagreement between Mane and his teammate Leroy Sane earlier this season.
Back in 2012, Arsenal had an opportunity to sign the revered Liverpool icon, but they chose not to because they felt he didn’t meet their expectations of being impressive enough. As a result, Mane joined Red Bull Salzburg at the age of 20, where he went on to showcase his skills by scoring 45 goals in 87 matches.
Louis Saha, a former Manchester United player, has advised Arsenal to consider signing Sadio Mane, especially following a heartfelt interaction between Mane, a former Liverpool player, and Bukayo Saka at the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony.
On the other hand, Mauricio Pochettino, who is set to become the new manager of Chelsea, is interested in bolstering the team’s attacking options for the upcoming season, which could potentially lead to the Blues pursuing a move for the 31-year-old Mane.
According to journalist Christian Falk, it has been claimed that Bayern Munich is open to discussing a potential deal for Sadio Mane to leave the club this summer. Falk stated in an interview with CaughtOffside, “Meanwhile, FC Bayern is looking for a buyer for Sadio Mané.”
“A trade with Osimhen would be appreciated but is unrealistic. Mané is said to earn €12m-net in Munich – Naples doesn’t pay that.
“In Munich, however, people took notice, as it is said that Chelsea are interested in signing Mané. FC Bayern would be willing to negotiate if asked.”
Contrary to earlier reports, it appears that Sadio Mane is not eager to leave Germany in the upcoming season. Fabrizio Romano, a well-known transfer expert, has provided an update on Mane’s future via Twitter, stating that Mane intends to remain at Bayern Munich for the next season.
“Mane & his agency ROOF have no plans to leave the club,” Romano wrote. “Mane sees the project at Bayern, he has great relationship with Tuchel and hopes to stay and win titles next season.”
