Shock stats reveal where Arsenal lost the Premier League title
Arsenal’s chances of winning the title are almost nonexistent now after their 3-0 loss to Brighton at home yesterday. Some unexpected statistics indicate that their poor performance at home games has been the main reason for their downfall this season.
Although it would be unfair to blame Mikel Arteta’s team entirely for their failure to keep up with Manchester City’s unbeatable winning streak, they still need to improve their game significantly to be successful next season.
Arsenal’s home record this season has been particularly disappointing, especially their defensive performance at the Emirates Stadium. Here are some surprising statistics that highlight this issue.
23 – Arsenal have conceded 23 goals at home in the Premier League this season; only in 2019-20 (24) have they conceded more in a single season since moving to the Emirates Stadium. Problematic. pic.twitter.com/6zc4nBcfl4

The title was definitely lost at home. Arsenal have fewer points at home than Liverpool, the same as Man Utd having played a game more and only five teams in the whole division have conceded more goals on home soil.

Despite the impressive performances of players such as William Saliba, Ben White, and Aaron Ramsdale for much of the season, it is unclear why Arsenal has struggled defensively in home games.
However, it should be noted that Saliba’s recent injury forced the team to rely on Rob Holding, who was not as convincing, especially in games like the 3-3 draw against Southampton.
It would be advisable for Arteta to focus on strengthening his team’s defense this summer, taking advantage of the club’s return to the Champions League to attract top-quality players such as Josko Gvardiol.
There may also be room for improvement at left-back, and moving Oleksandr Zinchenko to the midfield could be a viable option.
