“Too happy” – Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. sends message to Arsenal star after 3-0 Fulham victory
Vinicius Junior, the acclaimed player of Real Madrid, expressed his happiness about witnessing Gabriel Jesus, his fellow countryman and renowned footballer from Arsenal, making a comeback.
Jesus returned to the field for the first time since the 2022 FIFA World Cup break in the match against Fulham. Jesus had signed with Arsenal at the beginning of the season, leaving Manchester City.
Yet, he sustained a knee injury during the World Cup and required surgery.
Following a long period of rehabilitation, Jesus made a late appearance as a substitute in the 3-0 victory against Fulham. Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard were the goalscorers for Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Vinicius expressed his happiness at witnessing Jesus’ return to the field. Jesus also shared a picture of himself entering the pitch during the Fulham game and added a caption: ‘So happy to be back. And feels like i never left… What a win from this group! Let’s go, gunners!’
Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid left a comment on the post.
“Too Happy.”
During Arsenal’s victory against Fulham, Leandro Trossard was the standout player for the team. The Belgian managed to achieve a hat-trick of assists in the first half of the game, making him the first player in Premier League history to accomplish this feat.
Additionally, the return of Jesus should provide Arteta with even more encouragement. Since joining in the summer, the Brazilian has scored five goals and contributed seven assists in 21 games.
Currently, Arsenal have accumulated 66 points from 27 matches and are holding a five-point advantage over the reigning champions, City, at the summit of the Premier League standings.
