Tottenham could offer huge salary increase to 24-year-old Arsenal target
As reported by the Turkish source Fotospor, Tottenham Hotspur is considering a substantial salary offer to secure the services of 24-year-old Turkish talent Kerem Akturkoglu, who has also been associated with a potential move to Arsenal.
Another Turkish publication, Aksam, mentioned Liverpool and Manchester United’s keenness in signing Akturkoglu, in addition to Arsenal.
Since his arrival at Galatasaray in 2020, he has significantly risen to prominence in Turkish football.
This is the reason why several English clubs are pursuing him. Reportedly, he currently earns approximately €300,000 per year in Turkey, but Tottenham Hotspur is considering increasing his salary to a range of €2-2.5 million.
Indeed, that would be a significant raise for any player. It’s worth noting that West Ham United has also expressed their interest in him.
Kerem Akturkoglu possesses the versatility to perform in various positions along the front line, although he typically operates as a winger.
The need for versatility and depth is evident at Spurs, especially considering the departures of players like Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Harry Kane, and Erik Lamela in recent years.
While none of them were consistently considered world-class, the replacements brought in for those positions have been hit or miss, with Dejan Kulusevski possibly being the only one who has lived up to expectations.
