‘Unbelievable’: Michail Antonio claims £35m attacker who Arsenal reportedly want is stupidly good at dribbling

Michail Antonio, who plays as a forward for West Ham United, spoke highly of Kaoru Mitoma, a player that Arsenal is reportedly interested in. The conversation took place on the Footballer’s Football Podcast with Callum Wilson, a striker for Newcastle.

During the podcast, they discussed the teams at the bottom of the table and the recent unexpected 5-1 victory of Everton over Brighton, which is considered one of the most surprising outcomes of this season in the Premier League.

Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the first goal for Everton in the opening minute of the match, and the team continued to capitalize on counter-attacks throughout the game against Brighton.

Despite having several opportunities to score, Brighton failed to convert their chances and were vulnerable to counter-attacks from Sean Dyche’s side. Brighton’s only goal of the match was scored by Alexis Mac Allister, assisted by Kaoru Mitoma’s impressive athleticism and pass.

Even though Kaoru Mitoma did not have his best performance in the match, he has still managed to catch the attention of Arsenal, and Michail Antonio was particularly impressed with him. However, it may not be easy for Arsenal to convince Brighton to release Mitoma, as the club is known to be stubborn when it comes to transfers.

Reviewing Brighton’s latest defeat, Antonio was still impressed by the south coast side: “Brighton, unbelievable team.

“The way they’ve been playing this season has been absolutely crazy.

“That player [Kaoru] Mitoma they signed, unbelievable. That school of dribbling that he went to, it definitely did something for him.

“The guy has feet on him and he’s had an unbelievable season.

“The way Brighton are playing, I would never have expected this result [losing 5-1 to Everton].”

Kaoru Mitoma, who is valued at £35 million, has been causing problems for opposing full-backs throughout the entire season.

Although Kaoru Mitoma has caught the attention of Arsenal, the team already has several wingers in their squad, including Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, whom Mikel Arteta has shown a lot of confidence in this season.

Additionally, the arrival of Leandro Trossard in January has added another talented option to Arsenal’s frontline. While Mitoma would be an improvement over Arsenal’s current backup options, he may be better off staying with Brighton for now.

Brighton’s CEO has even acknowledged that it would be costly for Arsenal to acquire Mitoma this summer, indicating that Brighton intends to keep him.
