According to Dharmesh Sheth, a reporter from Sky Sports, Arsenal is actively seeking to acquire Ilkay Gundogan, Moises Caicedo, Mason Mount, and Declan Rice.

Regrettably, Arsenal was unable to secure the Premier League title, as Manchester City’s exceptional squad demonstrated their superiority in the latter stages of the season.

The depth of Pep Guardiola’s squad undoubtedly played a significant role in Manchester City’s success, especially considering the detrimental impact of key injuries on Arsenal’s performance.

Looking ahead, Mikel Arteta will need to reinforce the midfield during the summer transfer window to compete once again with Manchester City.

Renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that Granit Xhaka is nearing a move to Bayer Leverkusen, suggesting his potential departure from Arsenal.

Furthermore, according to reports from the Mirror, Thomas Partey has garnered interest from two Serie A clubs, indicating a possible departure for him as well.

Given that Partey will turn 30 next month, Arsenal may be inclined to seek a younger midfielder as a replacement during the summer transfer window.

Dharmesh Sheth has confirmed that Arsenal has shifted their focus to a different market following their qualification for the UEFA Champions League. This suggests that the club’s improved status and participation in the prestigious tournament have influenced their approach to player recruitment.

When asked if the north London club are in the market for Gundogan, Caicedo, Mount, and Rice, he told GIVEMESPORT: “Yes, we believe they are, and if you look at those names, this is the kind of market Arsenal are dealing in now.

“It’s amazing what a title challenge, but more importantly, qualification to the Champions League can do. You’re going to be playing at European football’s top table, which also equates to more money but also equates to going into the market at Europe’s top table as well.

“So, players that maybe they wouldn’t have been able to go for when they hadn’t got Champions League football suddenly become options for Arsenal.”

Players such as Rice and Caicedo would bring defensive stability and composure in midfield for Arsenal, and their relatively young age suggests a long-term investment for the club.

Mount’s presence would enhance Arsenal’s attacking threat from midfield, while Gundogan possesses versatility across various roles.

Gundogan’s experience and trophy-winning pedigree would provide valuable leadership, although it’s acknowledged that he may have a limited timeframe to perform at the highest level due to his age.

Realistically, if Arsenal manages to secure the signings of two players from the list mentioned, they would significantly bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

The addition of two quality players would undoubtedly enhance Arsenal’s strength and competitiveness, potentially improving their chances of achieving their goals in the next campaign.
