What Josh Kroenke did right after Arsenal were defeated by Brighton yesterday

According to The Evening Standard, Josh Kroenke paid a visit to Mikel Arteta immediately after Arsenal’s hopes of winning the title were dashed by Brighton yesterday.

The report suggests that Arsenal’s owners, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE), continue to have confidence in the Gunners manager. Arsenal suffered a devastating 3-0 defeat at home against Brighton, with the opposition dominating the second half.

Although there is still a mathematical possibility for Arsenal to become Premier League champions, it would necessitate Manchester City failing to win any of their remaining three matches.

After yesterday’s crushing defeat, Mikel Arteta’s team has had an exceptional campaign, surpassing all expectations. It appears that co-chair Josh Kroenke chose to personally visit Arteta following the match.

Kroenke visited Arteta after Brighton defeat

According to The Evening Standard, after the game, Josh Kroenke visited Mikel Arteta along with Sean McVay, the head coach of the LA Rams. The report highlights that McVay experienced similar challenges under KSE’s ownership in the NFL, leading the Rams to a Super Bowl final but falling short.

However, KSE supported McVay in the market, and he eventually led the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2021. Arsenal fans may hope for a similar response from the owners following this season’s disappointments.

Despite not being widely expected to compete with Manchester City until the end of the season, the Gunners fell short due to a combination of insufficient depth and experience.

However, Arsenal aims to construct a squad capable of winning the title after coming close this time, with only a few players needed to strengthen the team.

The team faced challenges in dealing with injuries to key players such as William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko, and they also lacked midfield options.

Nonetheless, it appears that KSE fully supports Arteta, and Arsenal fans will be optimistic that the ownership group will continue to endorse and support the Spanish manager in the future.
