Why Juventus’ Europa League exit spells bad news for Arsenal
Juventus, one of the top teams in Serie A, suffered a loss in the Europa League on Thursday, and this outcome is expected to have significant implications that could make things more challenging for Arsenal in the upcoming season.
In case you didn’t catch it, Juventus’ journey in European competitions recently came to an end. They were eliminated in the Europa League semi-finals after a tough 2-1 defeat against Sevilla, a team known for their success in this competition.
As a result, Sevilla secured their place in the final where they will face AS Roma led by Jose Mourinho.

It’s not just Juventus fans who will be disappointed with the outcome at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan; Arsenal supporters will also share in the frustration. It has been revealed that Juventus’ elimination from European competition is likely to have a significant impact on Arsenal’s seeding for the 2023/24 season.
If Massimiliano Allegri’s team had progressed further in the Europa League and reached the final, Arsenal would have had the opportunity to be placed in Pot 2 for the Champions League draw.
However, since Juventus did not advance, Arsenal is now expected to be placed in Pot 3, which means they may face a tougher draw against potentially two strong teams from different parts of Europe.
This could make their path in the competition more challenging.
